Founded by Dr. J.W. Thomas Byrd, the Nashville Hip Institute at TOA is dedicated exclusively to the diagnosis, treatment, and advancement of hip preservation and hip arthroscopy. The institute serves patients from across Tennessee and throughout the United States who are seeking specialized care for hip pain, labral tears, femoroacetabular impingement (FAI), athletic hip injuries, and other complex hip disorders. Through a combination of clinical expertise, research, education, and innovation, the Nashville Hip Institute continues Dr. Byrd's longstanding mission of advancing the field of hip preservation while delivering individualized care to every patient.
Location Update: Beginning August 31, the Nashville Hip Institute at TOA will welcome patients at its new location: 2100 Church Street, Nashville, TN. Patients will continue to receive care from Dr. Byrd and the same experienced team they know and trust in a new facility designed to enhance patient access and support exceptional orthopedic care.
