Robotic Total Knee Replacement with Dr. Steinagle
Six weeks ago I had my second total knee replacement. The first replacement was quite a few years ago and was done using the conventional method used by most orthopedic surgeons. This second knee replacement was done robotically and the difference between the two surgeries was absolutely amazing. There was very little pain and the recovery has been fantastic. Several hours after my first knee replacement, the therapist came into my room to get me up to walk to the door. As I swung my legs out of the bed, the knee that had just been replaced went straight to the floor at a 90 degree angle. With the other knee, my leg did not bend, even a little, for 10 days or more. This time, after my second knee replacement, at two weeks my leg was bending at 124 degrees, and I was walking without a walker or a cane and driving my car.
