Biography

Dr. Peter M. Casey is a fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeon specializing in hand, wrist, elbow, shoulder, nerve, and microvascular surgery. His practice is centered around the care of the upper extremity for patients of all ages.

Dr. Casey completed a Hand, Upper Extremity and Microsurgery Fellowship at Curtis National Hand Center in Baltimore, Maryland. Prior to fellowship, he completed an Orthopaedic Surgery Residency at Duke University Medical Center where he chaired the Resident Selection Committee and served as Quality Improvement Project Director. Dr. Casey received his Doctorate of Medicine from Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center Medical School in New Orleans, Louisiana. He was awarded the most accomplished medical student specializing in orthopedic surgery and received an award for the best medical student research project. Dr. Casey graduated Cum Laude from the University of New Orleans with a Bachelor of Science in Biology.

Dr. Casey is a native of northern Virginia and New Orleans, Louisiana. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his wife and children. Dr. Casey’s other interests include golf, tennis, skiing, LSU Football, ice hockey, and fishing.
