Scott M. Miller, M.D. is a physiatrist, specializing in interventional spine and musculoskeletal medicine. Dr. Miller is board certified in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation by the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and is trained to treat acute and chronic pain and musculoskeletal disorders, with the goal of restoring function and improving quality of life.
A native of central Missouri, Dr. Miller graduated from Marquette University, where he played NCAA Division I Soccer. He attended University of Missouri-Columbia School of Medicine before completing his PM&R residency at Vanderbilt University Medical Center, serving as Chief Resident. He then completed a North American Spine Society accredited Interventional Spine and Musculoskeletal Medicine fellowship at the University of Utah. During his fellowship, Dr. Miller received extensive training in treating various acute and chronic pain pathologies. This includes disc herniations, spinal stenosis, and degenerative conditions of the cervical, thoracic, and lumbar spine as well as non-operative care for knee, hip, and shoulder pathologies.
Dr. Miller takes a multidimensional approach to treating patients that includes therapies, medication management and minimally invasive procedures. An experienced scientific and clinical researcher, Dr. Miller has been published in numerous books, publications, and presentations.
Dr. Miller currently sees patients and performs procedures at Nashville - St. Thomas West, St. Thomas Midtown, Nashville - One City, Cookeville and Brentwood. He is a member of the North American Spine Society and Spine Intervention Society.
Away from the office, Dr. Miller enjoys spending time with his wife. He enjoys golf, travel, soccer and reading.
