Biography
Elizabeth (“Beth”) Bardowski is the nurse practitioner at
Nashville Hip Institute at TOA. She is board certified with the American Nurses
Credentialing Center (ANCC) as an acute care nurse practitioner. Beth completed
her Bachelor of Science in Nursing at Middle Tennessee State University in 2004
and then earned her Master of Science degree at Vanderbilt University in 2008.
Prior to coming to Nashville Hip Institute at TOA in 2010, Beth worked as a
nurse on the trauma unit and then as a nurse practitioner for the orthopaedic
trauma service at Vanderbilt University Medical Center.
Beth implemented the use of ultrasound at Nashville Hip
Institute at TOA and has performed over 14,000 ultrasound guided procedures.
Beth’s mastery of ultrasonography is chronicled in the scientific paper
published in the Arthroscopy
Journal (Ultrasound-Guided Hip Injections: A
Comparative Study With Fluoroscopy-Guided Injections) that
illustrates the merits of the technique she has perfected. She also lectures
and demonstrates these techniques around the country. Beth was a co-author of
the perioperative care chapter in the third edition of the textbook, Operative Hip Arthroscopy. She
has also co-authored numerous other research articles that have been published
in peer reviewed journals such as Arthroscopy,
Journal of Hip Preservation Surgery, and The Journal of Bone and Joint Surgery.
Outside of work, Beth enjoys spending time with her husband and
two children, hanging out with her dogs at her farmhouse, and traveling to warm
places.
