T. Kyle Summers, MD

Biography

Dr. Timothy Summers is a McMinnville, Tennessee, native. After high school, he worked as a jet engine mechanic in Columbus, Georgia, for approximately four years before beginning his undergraduate education. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from Columbus State University, graduating summa cum laude. He then attended the Medical College of Georgia in Augusta, where he was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society.

Dr. Summers completed his orthopedic surgery residency at the University of South Alabama in Mobile, Alabama, followed by a one-year fellowship in hand and upper-extremity surgery at Campbell Clinic in Memphis. He is a candidate member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and the American Society for Surgery of the Hand.

Dr. Summers sees patients at TOA’s McMinnville and Murfreesboro locations. His practice focuses on the treatment of conditions affecting the elbow, forearm, wrist, hand, and fingers.

Outside of work, Dr. Summers enjoys spending time with his partner and family, kayaking, hiking, playing pickleball and tennis, exploring Tennessee’s waterfalls and caverns, and watching new movies and television shows. He is excited to return to his roots and care for patients in the communities and region he has always considered home.
