Biography
Dr. Cochran is a dual board certified orthopedic surgeon with a subspecialty certification in Surgery of the Hand. His primary focus is on disorders of the hand, wrist, forearm, and elbow. Some of the most commonly treated conditions are fractures, lacerations, carpal tunnel, cubital tunnel, trigger finger, arthritis, and much more. Many conditions can be treated non-surgically, but when that is not possible, procedures can be done under wide awake local anesthesia, which minimizes cost and is much safer than undergoing general anesthesia.
Dr. Cochran has a degree from the University of Georgia in poultry science and avian biology. His Doctor of Medicine was completed at the Medical College of Georgia in Augusta, Georgia. He completed his orthopedic surgery residency at the University of Louisville, in Louisville, KY. He completed his fellowship in Hand and Microsurgery at Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, Virginia in 2018.
In his spare time, Dr. Cochran spends time with his wife and two children. He believes in investing in his church and community. He’s an avid fisherman and hunter. Any chance to get outdoors is quickly seized. He is a strong believer in physical fitness and maintaining overall health with exercise.
