Brant M. Gunderson, M.D.


Biography

Brant M. Gunderson, M.D. is a fellowship-trained sports medicine physician. His clinical interests include musculoskeletal ultrasound, ultrasound-guided procedures, regenerative medicine (including PRP and prolotherapy), and non-operative orthopedic care.

Dr. Gunderson completed his Primary Care Sports Medicine Fellowship at
MAHEC/AppOrtho in Boone, North Carolina. Originally from Southeastern Wisconsin, he earned his medical degree from the Medical College of Wisconsin in Milwaukee and completed his residency in Family Medicine at ProHealth Care in Waukesha, Wisconsin. He holds dual undergraduate degrees in Biology and Molecular and Cellular Biology from Cedarville University in Ohio.

Dr. Gunderson brings extensive sports medicine experience across a range of competitive levels. He has provided care for NCAA Division I athletes at Appalachian State University, Division II athletes at Lees-McRae College, and has also served as a team physician for multiple high schools and covered large-scale sporting events, such as the App Classic
Youth Soccer Tournament.

Dr. Gunderson is board certified in Family Medicine and enjoys working with patients of all ages. He is passionate about delivering personalized, evidence-based care that helps patients return to the activities they love.

Believing in practicing what he preaches, Dr. Gunderson loves spending time outdoors, hiking, and exploring with his wife and two children. He also enjoys traveling, fitness, and playing the saxophone.
