I appreciate the kindness of Dr Smith who is an excellent spinal surgeon! and each of the nurses and receptionist that navigated me through the steps of cervical surgery. Within days of the surgery I was feeling so much better. Even the daily text messages to help me know what I could expect post op and how to handle it. The care was impressive and far above any post op care I’ve received in my 70+ years. Thank you Dr. Smith and your TOA team !

Setting up the appointment was easy and fast. The check-in was efficient and the wait time wasn't bad. Dr. Smith was clear and concise, and answered my questions without making me feel rushed. I will recommend him to anyone in need of his specialty.

Dr. Smith is very kind and patient but best of all he listened to me. He clearly explained my MRI & possible reasons for my hip pain; gave me a shot in my hip (in the right spot) that has helped immensely & scheduled another treatment. I’m confident in his treatment plan.

Dr Smith answered all my questions thoroughly and with care and concern.

First of all, I want to compliment Dr. Jason Smith’s staff — especially Naomi in X-ray. She handled a full-grown, hyperventilating, crying woman with patience, kindness, and professionalism. She was incredibly tolerant and helpful, and I truly appreciated her compassion. I was also seen very quickly, especially considering I had initially called the wrong type of physician. Dr. Smith is an orthopedic surgeon and does not perform epidurals, but he did not turn me away. Instead, he reviewed the MRI I brought, explained the findings more clearly to me, and adjusted my medications. Thank you so much for that, Dr. Smith. I can now walk around and function much better because the pain is finally manageable. Dr. Smith also referred me to a physician who performs epidurals, and his staff even made the appointment for me. He is a serious, knowledgeable physician who gets right to the point — and I personally appreciate that approach very much. I will be seeing him again in two weeks, and honestly, I’m thankful I accidentally called the wrong type of physician. Thank you again, Dr. Smith and staff!

Dr. Jason Smith is an excellent Orthopedic Spine Surgeon!! He performed 2 spinal fusions with laminectomy on my lower back on May 5, 2026. I spent 2 days in the hospital at Hendersonville Medical Center. He has the best bedside manner and explains everything to you prior and after the surgery. The full recovery time is at least a year with no ‘BLT’ Bending, Lifting or Twisting within the first 3 months. I will definitely be putting in the work on my part. Walking every day because the more you walk the better you feel and heal! Along with physical therapy to strengthen my back and core. I highly recommend Dr. Jason Smith with TOA in Hendersonville office!

I cried after my appointment because it is the first time in over 20 years that I saw and experienced empathy and an actual plan to end (or at least manage) my pain. He said that he was wanting me to get a quality of life back, and I've never heard that before. I'm actually looking forward to my next appointment. And I actually have hope that I have a future.

The absolute best quick right to the point love it my kind of people that’s why I continue to go there. Hopefully nothing else comes up with me, but for anyone who wants to know, try them out they’re the best.

Everything' was good, only complaint was the pre visit on line didn't work right and they said i didn't do it but then said other people had the same problem.

Dr. Smith was great. Friendly, listened, answered all questions, communicated a good plan for treatment and follow-up. Unhappy, however, with spending a good amount of time registering online, then having to repeat with additional paperwork at desk, then having to publicly verbally repeat history/concerns to assistant in hallway.

Very pleasant and easy to talk to. Explains everything and answers questions, makes it easy to understand what's happening and what to expect.

I’m so grateful I had lumbar surgery And I’m grateful for Dr smith for doing an amazing job getting me fixed up. The first thing I noticed when I woke from surgery is the pain in my leg was gone for the first time in months………….update, I had my 3 month check up today post surgery and bones are healing great and I’ve been released to do all normal activities ( golf for me). I just wanted to add that for me this surgery was the only option to fix the problem and pain in my back and although I was nervous going into it Dr smith was fanatic from start to finish. He let me know what to expect And what the time line would be and he was spot on about everything. I’m back to all my normal daily activities with little to no pain and I feel stronger every single day. 5 star service and I would recommend to anyone going through back pain like I was,

Dr. Smith is an outstanding surgeon! I had spinal stenosis with back pain at L4/L5 and terrible nerve pain in my legs. He did surgery in December and the pain was gone! The only pain after surgery was around the incision. I was off pain meds week 2 after the surgery and it went very smooth. I took 6 weeks off work and followed the guidelines on not bending, lifting etc and I think that was important as well. If you need spine surgery he is an excellent choice. Very nice man and I cannot thank him enough!

Dr Smith is great! I saw him because Station Camp ER diagnosed me (CT Scan) with a broken neck and put me in a neck brace. He did X-rays and saw it was NOT broken! Degenerative Discs ... yes ... I'm 81 yrs old. I did 6 PT visits, and all is progressing well.

I had a ruptured disc. He was very professional, courteous, and thorough. He knew exactly what needed to be done and fixed me perfectly!

As far as I know, he is a good surgeon I’ll be in my second week of healing I went to see him today and he said I was a quick healer.

Dr. Jason Smith was very nice and to the point. We discussed me having a c-spine fusion. Talking to him made me feel better about the surgery. The staff was nice and got me back quickly. Everyone did an awesome job! The surgery went great! I’m healing well with very little pain medication. Mostly taking Tylenol and Ibuprofen. Dr. Smith is an awesome surgeon!

Dr Smith and his nurses Theresa and, Jennifer, have been wonderful through out my journey of needing an orthopedic specialist . They have been attentive, thoughtful, and supportive throughout the last year. Dr smith has wonderful bedside manner,, and the team at Tristan medical hospital in Hendersonville have taken great care of me. I feel at my age, in my forties, not many need an orthopedic dr. So I’m glad I’ve found one to help me in the future.
