Justin P. Moo Young, M.D.


Biography

Justin P. Moo Young, M.D. is a fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeon specializing in hip and knee replacement, fractures of the upper and lower extremities, and arthritis of the hip and knee. Dr. Moo Young practices minimally invasive techniques for primary hip and knee replacement, anterior hip replacement, revision hip and knee surgery, and partial knee replacement.

Dr. Moo Young played Division 1 Varsity soccer at Georgetown University and graduated Magna Cum Laude with a major in Biology and a minor in Business Administration. He then attended medical school at the University of Miami, where he was inducted into Alpha Omega Alpha, the national medical honor society. Dr. Moo Young completed his orthopedic surgery residency at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, Tennessee. He then completed a fellowship in Adult Reconstruction, Arthritis, and Joint Replacement Surgery at the prestigious Hoag Orthopedic Institute in Irvine, California.

Dr. Moo Young is an active member of the American Association of Hip and Knee Surgeons (AAHKS), the Orthopaedic Trauma Association (OTA), and the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons (AAOS). He is published in numerous high-impact orthopedic journals and is involved in ongoing research on topics including joint replacement, implant selection, and patient outcomes.

Dr. Moo Young is actively involved in community outreach and completed medical missions to Jamaica, as well as, Zanzibar in Africa. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his family, running, playing soccer, snowboarding, fishing, and hunting.
