I recently had a neck surgery for C5, C6, and C 7 performed by Dr. Robert Lowe at Tennessee Orthopedic Alliance (TOA). After 3 months of severe pain, I am so relieved to say that my pain is completely gone. Dr. Lowe and his team did an outstanding job..their skills and care truly made a difference in my recovery. I'm very grateful for the excellent treatment I received and would highly recommend him to anyone with similar spine issues.

My mother had a major 2-day back Surgery performed by Dr. Lowe this past February 2026! And everything went well. She is healing up. No mistakes were made. The Dr. and his staff kept in contact with me and the family to make sure that all of her needs were met post-surgery.

It was great finally not hearing the whole, you need this medicine or this shot, again. He's starting me with physical therapy, which is so relieving to hear. He's very to the point.

Dr Lowe is great- my surgery went great and my recovery was (so far) smooth. His MA is terrible and looks like a homeless lady that yells at you on Broadway- TOA fails to allow the doctor to call or email you results so you may have to drive a substantial distance, pay for the appointment and be told exactly what you already knew or provided results that could serve best as an mail or EMR. If I had to do this again, I would choose Dr Lowe, just not TOA.

His PA and him are amazing. The surgery was great and recovery (so far) has been smooth. The MA is terrible and she is unkempt, she looks dirty, but most of all, she is a bad MA. TOA also doesn’t allow results to be produced via email, EMR or phone. Therefore, you must drive to him, pay for the appointment, and endure his terribly long waits (30 minutes to more than an hour past your appointment time for the visit) to get results that could best serve as a call or email, or logging in to your EMR to look yourself. It is ridiculous. I would choose him again if I did not have to deal with the MA, the wait times and TOA’s policies that they profit off at your expense.

I am impressed with Dr. Lowe’s concern with alleviating my pain, and his review of the structural integrity of the fusion with me 3 weeks post-op. It’s truly amazing that I’m up and walking and on my way to full recovery. I’m glad I chose to have the surgery and thankful for his surgical expertise.

Dr. Lowes was compassionate and caring to get to the bottom of my injuries, He is patient, and Great at being swift to address and fix the problem as soon as possible. Would recommend.

Hit the trifecta with Dr. Lowe, a gifted surgeon in his prime. He was the 9th orthopedic surgeon I consulted and the 1st one who said he could fix my back. He fixed my back, he fixed my husband's paratrooper back and then he fixed my "inoperable" neck! I was referred to him by a neurosurgeon, by the way. Neurosurgeon wouldn't touch my neck. Dr. Lowe didn't hesitate. I don't care about his bedside manner. His knife skills which are out of this world!

I had to reschedule my back surgery and had to make the appointment with Dr. Lowe at his Brentwood office at 7:50 am Friday morning. We had a very nice conversation with Dr. Lowe while in the exam room. He caught up with all that had happened to me since l had to cancel my first scheduled surgery.. We discussed my side effects from my gallbladder surgery that caused me to have to cancel my back surgery. I am hopeful that everything will go as planned this time for my back surgery. Dr. Lowe is a very nice doctor who listens to what your problem is. He was referred to me by a good friend who had Dr. Lowe do her back surgery. She has done really well afterwards. If asked for a referral l would send them to. Dr. Lowe. Update: I had an appointment with Dr. Lowe's physicians assistant Lauren Osborne Friday February 13 at 10:30 am. The office and medical staff are always nice at Tennessee Orthopedic Alliance. I had X-rays taken of my back to view my progress and Lauren reviewed them. Everything looked good and she said I could start doing more within reason. I still can't bend, lift, or twist as much as I want too, but it's OK because I don't hurt anymore. Lauren is always nice and always interested in how you are doing. I can't say enough good things about Tennessee Orthopedic Alliance and how they have helped me over the years. The Dr definitely cares for Tennesee-ans'. He is great at surgery and fixes your broken thangs. I would highly recommend you come in and see this Dr, so he can help y'all with what needs a fix'in. I can't thank him enough for what he has done for me, for he has helped. I was very satisfied with going to see Dr. Lowe at Tennessee Orthopaedic Alliance. He has put me on PT for four weeks and a return appointment after that to determine what and if l need further treatment. At this point with my back pain l am ready to do anything to get over it. I went to Dr. Lowe because of the personal review a neighbor gave me. He is a great orthopedic doctor. I would just like to be able to walk normal again.
