Biography
Leigha Carr completed her undergraduate education at Tulane University in New Orleans, graduating with a major in Neuroscience and a minor in Spanish. She then attended Midwestern University in Downers Grove Illinois for PA school, where she completed focused rotations in Orthopaedic Surgery and Pediatrics Orthopaedics.
Following graduation, Leigha worked for a private practice orthopedic group, Illinois Bone and Joint Institute, in the Chicago area for 3+ years. She worked primarily with a hand and upper extremity surgeon there, along with covering walk-in clinics.
Leigha is a member of the American Society for Surgery of the Hand as well as the American Academy of Physician Assistants. She's been a board certified PA since 2016.
In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her family and dogs, traveling, hiking, and staying active.
