Education, Training & Fellowship Experience

Originally from Columbus, Georgia, Dr. Strickland attended the University of Georgia, where he earned degrees in Biology and Psychology. He received his medical degree from Mercer University School of Medicine, graduating at the top of his class and earning selection to the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society. He completed his orthopedic surgery residency at the University of Tennessee-Campbell Clinic in Memphis before pursuing specialized fellowship training. Fellowship-trained in Foot and Ankle Surgery at OrthoCarolina Foot & Ankle Institute in Charlotte, North Carolina.

Experience Treating Athletes

During his residency and fellowship training, Dr. Strickland provided care for athletes ranging from youth and collegiate competitors to professional organizations including the Carolina Panthers, Charlotte FC, Memphis Grizzlies, Charlotte Knights, and Memphis Redbirds.

Personal Interests

In his spare time, Dr. Strickland enjoys spending time with his wife, Klaire, and their two daughters. He enjoys playing golf, exploring craft breweries, and cheering on the University of Georgia Bulldogs and Atlanta Braves.
