James W. Eby, M.D.


Biography

Dr. James Eby is a board-certified physiatrist specializing in musculoskeletal medicine and interventional spine care. With extensive expertise in diagnosing and treating spine-related conditions, he is committed to helping patients restore function and improve their quality of life through advanced, non-surgical treatment options.

Dr. Eby graduated summa cum laude from Pacific Union College, before earning his medical degree from Loma Linda University School of Medicine. He then completed a residency in physical medicine and rehabilitation at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill where he was Chief resident as well as resident of the year. This was followed by a fellowship in Interventional Spine and Musculoskeletal Medicine at Orthopaedic Specialists of the Carolinas.

Dr. Eby is an active member of the North American Spine Society, the International Pain and Spine Intervention Society, and the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation.

His clinical expertise includes a wide range of interventional spine procedures, such as cervical, thoracic, and lumbar epidural steroid injections (ESI), selective nerve blocks, medial branch blocks, facet joint injections, radiofrequency neurotomies, sacroiliac joint injections, and hip injections. He is also skilled in performing minimally invasive procedures such as spinal cord stimulation (SCS), Minimally Invasive Lumbar Decompression (MILD), Kyphoplasty, and Vertiflex.

Dr. Eby also treats disorders of the spine and limbs with platelet rich plasma (PRP).

He performs EMG and nerve conduction studies to aid in the diagnosis of neuromuscular conditions.

Dr. Eby is dedicated to providing patient-centered care, utilizing evidence-based treatments to manage pain and optimize function for individuals with spine and musculoskeletal disorders.
