Rusty truly listens to his patients and takes their concerns seriously. I never felt like he questioned or minimized the severity of my symptoms. Instead, he immediately took the necessary steps to identify the cause of my neck pain rather than simply treating the symptoms. While others tried to mask the pain with medication, Rusty ordered an MRI to get to the root of the problem. That not only led to the appropriate treatment, but it also validated what I had been experiencing. I recommend Rusty to others all the time because he genuinely cares, listens, and works to find real solutions—not just temporary fixes.

I was very please with all the workers that have have came across since coming to TOA. I love the bedside manners of Rusty. You don't get that much with medical care being tight these days. He made me feel comfortable since the first visit. I liked that he took the time to explained yo my my symptoms and the next steps. I left feeling hopefully and my brain was at ease.

He is very capable and caring. I am so nervous when I get there but he talks to me and helps me to relax. He always answers my questions and puts me at ease. I know one day when I have to make the big decisions they will steer me in the right direction and take care of me.

I have been going to TOA for several years with knee and back problems. The people and staff at TOA are always kind, and listen to my issues that I am dealing with. Rusty is a top notch, and has always been quick to diagnose my issue and resolve it.

The provider I saw, Jimmy Mauney, was excellent. He was friendly, thorough, explained everything well, answered all of my questions and just all are kind very personable. The office staff was courteous, caring and helpful. Loved the office decor. Felt like my families living room with the wildlife, deer heads, and Ole Miss banner. I have been hesitant to get my knees checked out. But after seeing Dr Mauney, he was confident that with my symptoms, that with exercise and Meloxicam that surgery could possibly be up to 5 years away. I was more than pleased with my appointment.

TOA is great provider for all Orthopedic problems. The providers are very competent, professional and caring individuals that always have the patients well being/health issues as top priority.

My wife and I have been seen here. Both experiences have been great everything was explained and the issues were addressed. The doctors diagnosis was spot on and the confidence that we both felt that our issues were being addressed is just one of the many reasons that we will continue to be seen here for future issues.

First time seeing Rusty. He was very thorough and explained things well. Took time. The injection in my knee was not that painful either.

My little girl (6yo) broke her arm on new years eve. Everything about it could be scary and painful, but Rusty has been wonderful. My daughter really likes him; he has a great rapport with us, giving us lots of guidance and comfort. He's a great practitioner.

Physician's and staff are very caring and kind. They generally run on time. They listen to the patients and make every possible way to keep you comfortable. They have a new office nice and clean plenty of parking. They have xray on site so you can get most everything done there.

Outstanding provider!! As an NP myself, I’m a little critical, but Rusty patiently answered all of my questions thoroughly and even addressed my long term prognosis as well as work restrictions. He was friendly and personable in his approach and I felt like I was talking to an incredibly smart, conscientious family member. He even explained short and long term symptoms I might encounter in order that I wasn’t concerned or shocked at any of the side effects of the injury or treatment. He offered several options for treatment, through surgery, therapy, and medication management. I feel very well cared for and I had my follow up clinic and X-ray appointment even before I left the first appointment. I could not have found better care anywhere.

Visited TOA Middle Tennessee Pleasant View location 12/30/25, 1:40 PM with my left knee pain. I was greeted with Professional Staff, no waiting time before seeing PA Jimmy R Mauney about my medical problem with my left knee. He was very courteous and professional, had xrays explaining not only my left knee problem but I also had a problem with the right knee. Treated my left with a cortisone shot reliveing my knee pain. Thank the Staff at TOA and Thanks to PA Jimmy R Mauney for outstanding medical treatment for knee problem. I definitely would recommend others to TOA Middle Tennessee at Pleasant View location.

Rusty listens actively, responds based on expertise that allows trust and confidence. He speaks in medical terms but follows with practical explanations. He does not push treatments or prescriptions on me (very important). I feel like I am a part of my healing journey and my input is considered in our decisions.
