TOA Welcomes Joint Replacement Surgeon, Will A. Moore III, M.D.
Tennessee Orthopaedic Alliance, is pleased to announce the addition of Will A. Moore III, M.D. Dr. Moore is a fellowship-trained orthopaedic surgeon specializing in joint replacement, specifically primary and revision hip and knee replacements. He received additional subspecialty training in minimally invasive techniques including direct anterior approach total hip and partial knee replacement.
Dr. Moore graduated from Princeton University with a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering and certificates in engineering biology and materials science. He earned his medical degree from Vanderbilt University followed by a residency in orthopedic surgery at the University of Alabama at Birmingham where he served as Chief Resident and received the Kurt W. Niemann Award as the outstanding orthopedic resident in his graduating class. He completed a fellowship in joint replacement at the Anderson Orthopedic Clinic (the Engh Fellowship) in Alexandria, Virginia.
Between residency and fellowship, Dr. Moore spent fifteen months working as an orthopedic trauma surgeon at Tenwek Mission Hospital in Kenya.
